11-Month Old Baby Stolen From A House

A family in Kasabuni slums in Ruaraka Constituency is in pain and sorrow after their 11 month old baby was stolen from their house on Thursday last week.

According to the father the baby was at the house sleeping on the couch and the mother was away when the incident occurred.

“The incident happened on Thursday last week when my wife was not around ….she went out briefly on her return the baby was missing…our neighbour informed her that a lady was in the house and picked the child… My neighbor believed that my wife is the one who sent her to pick my child,” he told Ghetto Radio News.

“We have reported to children offices and police stations but there is no trace… It is a journey of sorrow and imagining losing my only child is giving me sleepless nights… To those who may have any information that may lead to her whereabouts would be helpful,” She added.

Meanwhile the area village elder David Achola has condemned the incident and has asked the police to move with speed and nab the woman. He asked residents to be vigilant to avoid such cases in future.

“This is a crime and we want to see the police arresting the woman who stole the child… It also raises a lot of questions about our security… to the residents please be your neighbour’s keeper this is a serious matter and we must be vigilant at all time by first start reporting anything suspicious,” he added.
