Borussia Dortmund Midfielder Jude Bellingham has shared photos of the school he helped build in Kenya.
The 17 year old English professional footballer who snubbed Manchester United and Joined the German side posted the photos of the school on his Instagram page.
The school which is located in the coastal part of the country in Mombasa comprises a Primary School and Nursery.
“The school in Mombasa is finished and the kids are enjoying being back in lessons and learning. Massive thank you to those who donated and supported, myself and the team really appreciate it,” read the post.
Born on the 29th of June, Bellingham joined Birmingham City as an under-8, became the club’s youngest ever first-team player when he made his senior debut in August 2019, at the age of 16 years, 38 days, and played regularly during the 2019–20 season.
He joined Borussia Dortmund in July 2020, and in his first competitive match became their youngest ever goal scorer.
Bellingham was wanted by Dortmund and United after an impressive breakthrough campaign at Birmingham but he opted to follow in the footsteps of Jadon Sancho and make a move to Bundesliga.
United legend Sir Alex Ferguson even gave Bellingham a personal guided tour of the club’s facilities in the hope he would join.
He represented England at under-15, under-16, under-17 and under-21 levels and made his first appearance for the senior team in November 2020.
