Kenya recorded 18 deaths from Covid-19, raising the number of deaths to 456.
Health CAS Dr. Mercy Mwangangi stated that the country has also recorded 679 of coronavirus in the past 24 hours putting the total tally of the disease to 28,104.
Speaking during the daily Covid-19 briefing, Mwangangi stated that the new cases are from a sample size of 6,590 that were tested across the country in the past 24 hours.
The total number of cases recorded in Kenya so far stand at 28,104 cases from the 369,091 samples tested in the country since the pandemic was reported.
400 out of the new cases are male while 279 are female and include 651 Kenyans and foreign nationals.
Nairobi is still leading withe 349 cases while the other counties are as follow;, Kiambu (69), Kajiado (35 ), Nyeri (23), Machakos(25), Garisssa(18), Mombasa(16), Kericho(14), Uasin Gishu(13), Nyandurua(13), Tharaka Nithi(11), Laikipia(9), Nakuru and Migori (8), Kisumu (7) Nandi and Busia (6), Meru (5), Murang’a, Kirinyaga, Makueni and Isiolo (4), Tana River and Tranzoia Nzoia (4)cases each.
