Kenya on Monday recorded 193 new cases of Coronavirus, raising the country’s total to 32,557.
Health CAS Rashid Aman says that the 193 cases are from a sample of 3,381 that was tested in the last 24 hours.
Six more people have however died of the disease.
Speaking during the daily Covid-19 briefings Aman stated that all the new cases were Kenyans except three.
Another 225 patients recovered in the last 24 hours. 188 were from the home-based care programme while 37 were discharged from the various health facilities.
This is how the cases were spread in Nairob; Kamukunji 9, Embakasi East7, Langata7 and Makadara 7, Dagoretti North6 and Embakasi South 6, Embakasi West4, Kasarani 4, Kibra 4, Embakasi North3, Roysambu 3, Ruaraka3, Starehe 3, Dagoretti South 2, and Embakasi Central 2, while Mathare had one case.
Acting Director General of Health Patrick Amoth revealed that more than 34 laboratories in the country are now actively testing for Coronavirus.
“We are making progress but we have not reached the magical five per cent which we need to sustain for two weeks before we say we are flattening our curve,” he said.
