The Directorate of Criminal Investigations on X, confirms the arrest of two notorious fraudsters,
The suspects identified as David Thuo Njegia and Kyalo Kilonzo have been lying to unsuspecting members of the public that they would assist them in securing jobs ,
”Two suspects have been arrested by detectives for obtaining money from members of the public on the pretext that they would assist them in securing job opportunities.” Read partially the X statement
The 2 were arrested along Ngong Road, after defrauding unsuspecting members of the public more than Sh880,000.
According to the investigative agency the two have been promising unsuspecting Kenyans various job opportunities,
”Posing as employees of the Nairobi Water and Sewerage Company, the duo have been taking advantage of desperate Kenyans seeking employment by promising to offer them jobs in government agencies and state corporations.” Read the X statement by the DCI
Detectives pounced on the two moments before they received an additional Sh100,000 from a gullible job seeker who had been promised a plum permanent and pensionable position at the Nairobi Water and Sewerage company.
Upon interrogation, it was established that the miscreants are habitual fraudsters wanted by detectives based at Dandora after they previously jumped bail for a similar offence.
