2017 election violence victim recounts painful memories of torture

2017 Political Violence Victim Oliver Waswa from Embakasi East constituency has today recounted painful memories of torture during last year’s post election violence.

34 year old Waswa a father of two says he spent two months under the Intensive Care Unit after he was attacked by political goons.

He say the incident made him lose a lot of memory and also unable to fend for his children.

Waswa says he was attacked for defending his friend who was being attacked for failing to leave his residence for not supporting a certain political candidate.

He however does not recall the details as his brain function was greatly affected.

Oliver now stays at home without a job. A state that has affected his family’s well being.

He is now calling on people of good will to support him medically and he also hopes to get a suitable job for him to fend for himself and his family.
