Nestle renews Kenya Primary Schools’ Ball Games and Gymnastics Sponsorship


MILO GamesThe National Finals of the ball games  has  received a boost after Nestle Kenya signed partnership with the Ministry of Education and the Kenya Primary schools Sports Association (KPSSA) to renew the Sh5 Million Milo Sponsorship of the Kenya Primary Schools’ Ball Games and Gymnastics.

The Finals of the ball games that will take place in Uasin Gishu County at Wareng’ and Hill High School in Eldoret from 12th to 16th April ,2016 has landed the Milo sponsorship for the 8th consecutive year in a row.

The head of Nestle East Africa and Managing Director of Nestle Kenya,Ms. Ciru Miring’u says the sponsorship will go towards providing sports kits for participating teams ,track suits ,tshirts,balls ,trophies ,medals and certificates.

“We seek to nurture young sporting talents.We aim to teach positive values,shaping our children to become the well grounded adults”,She adds

Nestle Kenya has sponsored a total of 56  young boys from Kenya who attended the 2014,2011 and 2010 Milo African Soccer Championships held in Nigeria,Ghana and South Africa respectively.

“The Children have now joined some of the leading secondary schools and universities in the country and still persuing their talent in football” said Ms Ciku Miring’u.

Nestle will also serve Milo drink to the 1200 pupils and 300 officials  expected to join the competitions in Eldoret.

Last year,Nzoia region beat 2014 title holders Lake Region to win the overrall Milo Trophy.Nzoia will also be defending their soccer titles for both boys and girls Gymnastic titles won in 2015.

Mau Region will be defending both the boys’  and Girls’ volley ball plus Netball boys’  titles.Lake region will be defending their Netball girls’ title while Highlands Region will be defending their boys and girls Gymnastic titles won in 2015.
