3 suspected gangsters shot dead in Nairobi
Three suspected thugs were shot dead in two separate incidents in Nairobi Tuesday night.
Two were killed in Githurai 44 area, and a Barreta and Ceska pistols found.
Police said the men were shot by officers on patrol following an alarm by residents they had attacked and robbed.
The gang had been using a motorcycle to strike and escape from their targets.
Police said the guns found on them were likely to have been used in a number of attacks in the past.
The third suspect was shot dead in a botched robbery in Eastleigh.
The suspect is said to have been in the company of a colleague who escaped on foot.
This brings the number of suspects killed in crime-related incidents in the past week to 15.
