39 minors arrested in a house party
Thirty nine minors were on Tuesday evening arrested at a house party in Muhoroni, Kisumu County.
The children aged between 12 and 22 years were allegedly taking alcohol and playing loud music.
Muhoroni Deputy Commissioner Erick Wanyonyi stated that they will start arresting parents of minors caught going against the law.
“If you cannot take care of your children, and they are arrested in parties during this time, you will also face the law,” Wanyonyi said.
Last month 25 teenagers were arrested in Maraba Estate, Kakamega County on allegations of shooting pornography.
The suspects who are said to be 15 boys and 10 girls aged between 14 and 17 years.
A witness who sought anonymity says that he alerted the police after he noticed packets of strewn condom wrappings in the house that is next to the road.
The suspects were arrested alongside a man only identified as Caleb who the police believe was behind the criminal act.
According to the police, all the suspects are high school students in Form Two and Three in various schools.
“All these are minors and we found them before starting the act and arrested them. We will deal with the man for he is the one misleading the young ones,” said the police.
