Kothbiro offseason tournament Round matches kick-off

Defending Champions 1000street were held to a 1-1 draw by Rongai All Stars in the ongoing Kothbiro Offseason tournament.

1000street were the first to score through Jacob Odundo but a minute later Samuel Kinuthia equalized for the Rongai based side.

The tournament began last week whereby 67 matches are lined up.

According to the Organizers of the tournament this year’s event is going to be the biggest as leading gaming firm Sportpesa despite being the core sponsors have organized events to benefit the community at large.

Last week Everton Legend  Leon Osman visited Ziwani Grounds as the leading bookmakers launched the Kits for Africa project in Nairobi.

The initiative is aimed at securing playing kit for grassroots players across the continent with Osman leading the call to fans of Everton, fellow English Premier League side, Southampton FC and English Football Championship outfit, Hull City Tigers FC to donate to the worthy cause.

Osman, spent the day at the dusty Ziwani Grounds where he watched the annual Koth Biro Tournament clash between Santos FC and Githurai All Stars FC.

Also on schedule are two coaches from Laliga who are expected in the country in December. The coaches are set to conduct clinics to two selected teams from the tournament.
