Forty six traffic officers collecting bribes from motorists along highways have been arrested and charged in the court of law this year alone.

This is according the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission Director of investigation Abdi Mohamed.

Abdi says the commission will continue doing its job but asked Matatu operators  to help them fight the  vice by giving the information on the rogue  officers.

Matatu Owners Association chairman Simon Kimutai on the other hand stated that  the police collect over Ksh. 2M bribes being collected by police traffic.

He wants the commission to tighten their operations to bring more officer to book.
