57 people arrested for flouting Covid-19 regulations to serve community service


Fifty seven people who had flouted Covid-19 regulations will now serve community service under the Nairobi Metropolitan Services.

The 57 people who had been arraigned at the Kibera Law Courts will now have to report everyday for one week from 8 am to 5 pm.

NMS, through the Directorate of Enforcement will oversee their services at various facilities and streets in Nairobi.

“They are expected to report at 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM for the entire week for their services including clean up of Marikiti and Muthurua Markets, Globe, Nairobi River, as will be assigned. Police will re-arrest and arraign in court those who do not abide for a stiffer punishment,”
