667 More Kenyans Test Positive To Coronavirus

667 more Kenyans have tested positive to coronavirus raising the number to 16,268.

Health Ministry Chief Administrative Secretary Dr. Mercy Mwangangi says that the 667 new cases are from a sample size of 5,075 tested in the last 24 hours.

The 667 cases include 657 Kenyans and 10 foreigners. Out of the 667 cases 393 are males and 274 are females aged between one month old and 92 years.

Mwangangi says that 11 more people died of the disease raising the total tally to 274.

“We have observed that we’re witnessing a majority of the deaths in patients who have underlying issues such as diabetes, hypertension, HIV/AIDS amongst others,” said the CAS.

The virus is spread as follows, Nairobi-387, Kiambu -40, Mombasa -26,  Machakos- 47, Kajiado 79, Nakuru -15, Uasin Gishu -14, Garissa-(11, Busia -9, Kilifi -6, Turkana -6, Makueni-(5, Wajir-5, Kisumu -4, Nyeri-(4, Lamu -4, Murang’a-2, Bomet -1, Bungoma -1, Narok–1. Nyamira -, Vihiga 1.
