Cameroon have sacked manager Marc Brys following an emergency meeting called by Samuel Eto’o after the pair were involved in an explosive confrontation at a meeting.
Brys was appointed as Cameroon manager in April by the country’s Sports Ministry, rather than the football federation (Fecafoot) led by Eto’o.

Cameroon’s football crisis deepened when a meeting between Eto’o and the newly appointed Belgian coach escalated into a tense altercation.
Brys had been invited for a “working session” as part of the preparations for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers.
However, several of his support staff, appointed by the sports ministry, were barred from entering the Fecafoot headquarters in Yaoundé.
Video footage circulating on social media shows a cordial welcome by Eto’o that quickly devolves into a contentious exchange. This was the first meeting between Eto’o and Brys, who was appointed by the sports ministry in early April without any input from Fecafoot, setting the stage for conflict.
Etoo at Fecafoot
His spell as Fecafoot president has been hit by several controversies, including a reported feud with Man United goalkeeper Andre Onana and a violent altercation with a supporter in Qatar.
Eto’o and his close aides have also been accused of being involved in match-fixing, abuse of power, physical threats, inciting violence and spreading false information in Cameroon, with CAF said to be looking into various claims
The sports ministry has yet to comment on this latest power struggle with Fecafoot.
