Popular radio host cum thespian Alex Mwakideu revealed how acting was his only source of refuge in fighting off the shackles of poverty while growing up from his humble upbringing in Mombasa County.

Stood Out As An Actor For His School
Mwakideu went further revealing how his exploits in drama helped his school win several accolades during drama festivals competing alongside known institutions like Kakamega High School who also thrived in the same discipline. “I went to shimolatewa and i can tell you by the way mimi nilikuwa mnoma sana drama na sijisifu jamani.. Niliingia shimolatewa ilikuwa hawashindi district festival lakini nilipoingia kuanzia form one ile shule tulikwenda National mpaka siku ya mwisho ingawaje hata National ndio walikuwa wanatuonea tu wanatuibia ibia lakini tulikuwa tunawachapa tu” he stated.

Today Mwakideu is not only one of the most celebrated radio host’s in Kenya but also a reputable actor. He has set his sights on becoming a Member Of Parliament in his matrimonial home in Taita Taveta County in the coming general election in 2022.Mwakideu’s story is a huge source of inspiration in doing what you love wholeheartedly.
