A dark blue embrace around the laces lies above a clean white undercarriage, with adidas’ inimitable stripes set to a vibrant blue. The golden line streaking across the instep captures the success Messi has enjoyed with his nation in recent years.

Messi’s logo subtly sits on the forefoot, while the wording ‘Messi’ signs off the upper. Finally, the sockliner details the inherent legacy of what it means to play for Argentina, honouring each of the three years in which they have lifted the FIFA World Cup.

Lionel Messi Shows Of His New Boots

Inter Miami star Lionel Messi showed off his new adidas boots as he prepares to kick off the 2024 MLS season.

In an Instagram post, Messi shared some images of himself wearing the new adidas boots with the caption: “Something that always gives me good vibes… kicking off the new season with my new boots. Let’s go @adidasfootball

Lionel Messi’s first-ever competitive match in a pair of adidas ended with a goal – although, he scored the winner for Barcelona against Real Zaragoza with his head rather than either striped boot.

Football fans are optimistic there will no doubt be plenty to come in his striking new footwear.

The Inter Miami forward has had eight pairs since his return to the X silo back in June 2021, with three of those coming in the last six months

Spain’s World Cup-winning manager Vicente del Bosque revealed that La Roja had tried to persuade Messi to switch allegiances when he was coming through Barcelona’s youth system. The response was blunt. “There was an attempt to do that at the time but he decided to stick with the country of his birth,” Del Bosque recalled, “he remained steadfast.”
