AG Muigai Wants Cases Of Three Kenyans Wanted By ICC Tried Locally
Attorney General Githu Muigai is now asking the ICC to handover the files of three citizens wanted over allegations of witness tampering.
Muigai says the files will be used to try the three in the domestic courts in the country which he describes as very capable of trying the Kenyan cases.
Speaking at a media briefing Muigai demmanded that the ICC cooperates with Kenya just in the same was Kenya cooperated with the court.
The ICC issued arrest warrants against former journalist Walter Barasa in 2013 and against lawyer Paul Gicheru and Philip Bett over witness tampering in October 2015.
