An old woman in Mathare slums is crying for justice after land grabbers allegedly grabbed her land and threw her out of the house she has lived in for forty years.

Elizabeth Wambui says the land grabbers started by demolishing the rental houses she had put up and eventually threw her out of her house leaving her homeless.

The mother of 11 says the land grabbers who are well known to her have gone to the extent of evicting her from her house of 40 years asking her to go back to the countryside.

She is now appealing to the area’s government officials to intervene and help her get her house back in order to get a place where she can live in with her two sons who are locked up in Mathari mental Hospital.
