Akothee’s daughter Dion Okello popularly known as Rue Abby is the new young world top model after winning the Diaspora Entertainment Awards and Recognition (DEAR) awards 2018 edition.
Dion who was missing from the event in Texas USA won the awards in absentia after fans across Kenya voted for her.
In an Instagram post, the singer shared the news while congratulating her daughter for the award.
“Congratulations my love , you girls brought light into my life , discipline is key to success, let me take the opportunity to thank all my fans for the mighty support, this is the work of your hands with God’s favors , thank you for your votes and helping me raise this girl who has been brought up by the community,” she wrote
This is Dion’s second major scoop in her modeling career after scooping the Nivea face of Africa challenge for two seasons running.
