Aladwa Defy ODM Directives, Campaigns for DAP-Kenya Candidate in Makongeni
It seems all is not well in ODM Party this is after Nairobi ODM County Chairman George Aladwa openly defied the party leader directives on party candidates by campaigning for DAP-Kenya aspirant Maurice Imbale for Makongeni ward seat.
Aladwa in his town hall meetings in Makadara has been campaigning for Imbale shunning ODM candidate for the seat Peter Anyule Imwatok.
In a video that has since gone viral Aladwa is seen asking his supporters to vote him and Imbale come August 9th 2022.
“At the ballot My name is George Aladwa Omwera,my symbol is Orange and my party is ODM Imbales’ symbol is Chui and make sure you tick right inside the ballot paper.” Aladwa told Makongeni residents.
In his recent visit to Makongeni, Odinga endorsed both Imwatok and Aladwa for the MCA and MP seat respectively.
“I think Aladwa is doing what is not right we have party constitution and guidelines unfortunately he has resorted to open defiance to the party and party leader I want action taken.I urge my party ODM to tell him to surrender the chairmanship of the county and join DAP-Kenya.” Imwatok told Ghetto Radio News on phone.
“I don’t want him to campaign for me but he must respect our party holding another party’ candidates’ hand and selling him is disrespectful to his position as county chairman ,to Raila and entire ODM fraternity …I want quick action taken against one Aladwa Omwera.’’ He added.
