Remember the young girl from Nairobi’s Githurai area who amazed Kenyans with her articulate rendition of Alicia Key’s Fire Song?
Gracious Amani, the young girl, left the internet in awe after the video of her brief act went viral.
The video was posted by an American who was working on a project with an NGO in Githurai.
Soon after the video went viral, the 13 year old got the attention of Kenyan singer Vivian who immediately hit the studio to record a song with her.
Well Gracious’ dreams to get American singer Alicia Keys’ attention were yesterday answered.
Alicia Keys shared the video of the 13 year old on her instagram.
“Look at this beautiful soul. Shine” wrote the American star.
Kenyans immediately took to the comment section to let Alicia Keys know that the girl is from Kenya.
Celebrities such as Talia Oyando, H_art the band and Ted Josiah were not left out of the comment section.
