Alikiba’s poor public speaking skills came to light over the weekend when the bongo maestro marked 20 years in the music industry with the unveiling of his media house, Crown FM. Many have since opined that the veteran singer needs to take up public speaking lessons to make his public engagements enjoyable.

However, despite the noise others applauded Alikiba for the milestone.

Tumultuous Journey
Alikiba narrated his tumultuous journey to the top revealing that he recorded up to four songs before his breakthrough. He was inspired by veteran rapper, AY(Ambwene Yesaya) who was also present at the function.
Alikiba further disclosed that at the time of his rise, singer, Timbulo performed in many gigs duping fans that he was the real Alikiba. All these happened under the guise of music promoter, Richie One who was good at the “con business” then.

Singer, Ommy Dimpoz stole the show during his brief presentation when he joked over Alikiba’s “Poor English” when they did the song ‘Nai Nai’.
According to Ommy, he failed to point it out then noting Alikiba’s grandeur in music compared to his. It’s also through the collaboration that Ommy’s star began to rise.
Alikiba’s big day was star studded with friends in the musical fraternity, Kenya was represented by dancehall star, Krg The Don.
Also present was former Tanzania president, Jakaya Kikwete among other dignitaries.
Alikiba has now joined Diamond who also runs his own media house, Wasafi.
