Amos Mwago To Fly Jubilee Party Ticket For Starehe Constituency


The Jubilee Party has picked Amos Mwaigo Maina to fly its Starehe Constituency Parliamentary Seat ticket in the race to the August 9 elections.

Mwago was picked after a scientific poll revealed that he was more popular than his opponent John Mugo.

Mwago expressed his gratitude to the Jubilee Party and his political supporters for believing and walking the journey with him.

“I take this humble opportunity to thank the almighty God for giving me the chance He has given me so far. To the people of Starehe, I want to appreciate and thank you from the bottom of my heart. You have been with me, stood with me and you have ensured that I am the Jubilee candidate for Starehe Member of Parliament,” he said.


The renowned businessman has promised to deliver the Starehe Parliamentary seat to the Jubilee Party.

“To the Jubilee party leadership and the Azimio coalition at large , thanks for trusting me to take the mantle of your agenda ahead. It has just started and we will deliver,” he said.

The Gikomba born politician has among many things promised to bring his business acumen to the leadership of Starehe Constituency which is largely regarded as the business hub of Nairobi.

He has also promised to create a friendly working relationship between residents and traders of Starehe.

UDA is yet to announce its Starehe flag bearer for Starehe Constituency. This follows a stalemate between Starehe MP Charles Njagua and EALA MP Simon Mbugua.
