Steve Rifkind, The manager to the hospitalized Us rapper Earl Simmons popularly known as DMX has dispelled the rapper’s death rumours and urged the public to stop spreading the wrong information.
This comes amid the “R.I.P DMX” hashtag that has been trending on Twitter, with fans speculating that the ‘X gon give it to ya’ Star had passed on.
Taking to social media, Rifkin who is a long time friend of the veteran hip hop Star, Said “Please stop with posting these rumours. DMX is still alive, yes he is on life support but please it’s not helping anybody by having them seeing these false rumours. Let the family relax for a night.”
He further stated that the family will also release a statement.
The ‘Lord Gimme A Sign’ rapper is admitted at the intensive care unit of White Plains Hospital in New York after overdosing on drugs.
He has since not shown signs of improvement and doctors’ records indicate organ failure with little to no brain activity.
The family of the hip hop legend is left with a difficult decision of whether or not to withdraw him from life support.
Ruff Ryders bikers and a dozen of the rapper’s friends held a prayer vigil outside the White Plains Hospital hoping for the artist’s recovery.
DMX has never shied away from expressing his battle with cocaine addiction and has checked in rehabilitation in the past in hope of a clean up.
In the meantime fans are urged to pray for the Star and refrain from spreading false death news on social media.
