GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS BEAT MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES AT HOME

Golden State Warriors come out victorious in a much anticipated match against the Memphis Grizzlies.

In what seemed like a tied match, Warriors point guard, Jordan Poole scored two point with only 2 seconds left in the game. Jordan averaged 21 overall points in the game as well as well as 5 rebounds and 7 assists.

“We had two seconds and no time-outs. I kind of wanted to be patient but I made contact with my teammate and immediately cut to the basket and made a good finish. It was a great pass and good execution by our team,” said Jordan Poole in a post game interview.

Star player Steph Curry averaged 34 overall points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists. Despite only playing for 35 minutes and getting ejected in the forth quarter for tossing his mouth guard.

The warriors forward played a huge part in ensuring the gap between the two teams was bridged at all costs.

Addressing the ejection, Steph stated, “It was a crucial time in the game and with the way our season is going there are questions about the sense of urgency. I reacted in a way that obviously put me out of the game and put my team in a tough place but the intentions and the energy was around winning.”

Power forward, Klay Thompson averaged 24 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists. He was able to play for an overall 34 minutes in all 4 quarters.

In the other side of the Grizzlies, Ja Morant played for 35 minutes overall and was able to average 29 points, 12 assists and 4 rebounds. His efforts to keep the Grizzlies ahead seemed fruitful until the final quarter when the Golden State Warriors took the lead.

Desmond Bane averaged 20 points, 4 assists and 3 rebounds. Followed by center player, Brandon Clarke who scored a total of 19 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists.

“I was really proud of the guys. They fought through and executed down the stretch. They got us the win. I think J.P has been much more solid the last 5,6 games. I think he’s been much better in terms of shot selection and decision making.” said Steve Kerr, GSW head coach.

The Memphis Grizzlies remain number 2 in the western conference despite this loss to the Warriors and Golden State holds the 10th position in the same conference.
