It is a double tragedy for the recently jailed Jamaican dancehall Star Leroy Russell Junior commonly known as Tommy Lee Sparta after ballistic examination for the firearm that was found in his possession has been linked to two murders.

His attorney Donahue Martin has however denied the allegations of wrongdoing by his client ‘Tommy Lee Sparta’ who is already serving a three year jail sentence for the illegal possession of a glock 9mm firearm that was found tucked in his waist by law enforcers in December 2020.

“I would deny any other involvement in relation to that firearm. We took responsibility, the ultimate responsibility of having it on us on that day. We pleaded guilty and we’re remorseful about that,” Said the Lawyer.

He further denied any acts of shooting or murder when the firearm was in Tommy Lee’s possession.

If the authorities go ahead and press charges to the star he might end up serving a very long jail term in relation to the two murders alleged to have been conducted by the said firearm.

This comes amid the Island’s Prime Minister Andrew Holness blaming the rising violence and insecurity on dancehall music which is laced with ‘violent lyrics’.

Tommy Lee Sparta is also a former member of jailed dancehall Singer Vybz Kartel from portmore ‘Gaza Empire’.

He was sentenced on March 24 for three years after pleading guilty for possession of a firearm and ammunition.
