Amani National Congress is now set to conduct its party nominations as from 3rd April to 25th April before the Independent Electoral Commissions’ deadline elapses.
According to ANC election board chairman Martine Etiang’ , the ANC party aspirants should submit their full documents by 24th to avoid being locked out of the primaries.
The board has also welcomed the move by NASA leaders to have joint nominations, in Nairobi county to avoid losing the seat to jubilee during the general elections.
They will be heard and determined before April 26. All parties contesting in the August polls must submit the list of candidates to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission before April 27 as stipulated in the regulations.
“The common feeling is that in some areas such as Nairobi and Mombasa we must agree to have joint nominations to retain our influence, despite opposition from some quarters,” Etyang said.
