Angry Eastleigh Businessmen March To City Hall To Protest Land grabbing
The angry hawkers who stormed the governors’ office demanding justice claim that the market has been sold by the county government to Somali business community.
It took the intervention of the Nairobi county senator Mike Sonko to calm the hawkers who promised to pursue the matter legally till the market is returned back to the public.
The alleged Somali business community is said to have started mall construction at the Eastleigh Market site.
Last week the Ombudsman launched investigations into the landgrabbing vlaims promising to give results as soon as possible.
