ANNSTELLA’S FIRST EVER BIG WIN AT KALASHA AWARDS

The 12th edition of the Kalasha International Film and TV awards (2022) went down in style at Safari Park Hotel on December 3, 2022 with several Kenyan film makers bagging awards.

Actress Annstella Karimi celebrated her first ever nomination and win in the awards mentioning that she used to attend the previous editions of the event accompanying others as their guest.

The bubbly lady has featured in several local TV shows such as Kina, Sue na Johnnie and Baba Twins which earned her the win as the Best Supporting actress in a film for her role Eva.

“How do you feel about your first win? She responds saying, “Amazing!!!…it’s my first nomination and my first win. Sijawai kuja Kalasha ati ju nimenominatiwa.Nimeishi kukuja Kalasha kama invite wa mtu.”

Word of encouragement to those looking up to Annstella

Being her first ever nomination in her career spanning over 8 years, she advices budding actors to never give up and keep pushing past their limits.

“Usigive up. I’ve been in this industry for 8 years and this is my first nomination. My journey has been amazing imekua poa sana. Nimeget kuplay differnt roles. Hio inapush limits zako hujioni tu ka actor anaweza fanya kitu moja pekee yake.”

What should people expect from Annstella

“Mooorreee!!! She answers as she finishes off with a laugh.

Sports Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba, Kenya Film Commission CEO Timothy Owese and Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna were among guests and celebrities who graced the event.
