Another Dormitory Up In Flames, Police Holding Students For Interrogation
Police have launched investigations into a fire incident that happened at Bishop Okoth Ojolla High School in Kisumu West, Kisumu County last evening.
The fire reportedly burnt down a newly constructed dormitory that houses quite a number of the students.
Kisumu Police County Commander Richard Ng’eno says that they are currently holding a number of students for interrogation.
According to Ng’eno, the fire reportedly started at around 6 pm when all the students were in class.
“The fire broke out at around 6pm in the evening when the students were out for their evening preps,” wrote Commander Ng’eno.
According to Ng’eno, a final report on the extent of the damages incurred shall be released later.
No causalities were reported from the fire incident.
“We have already commenced investigations, where we are holding a number of student for interrogations into what might have caused the fire. Report on losses incurred shall be released later but no casualties have been reported,” Ng’eno concluded on his note.
The incident comes just a day after Maranda High School students in Siaya County burnt down a 500 capacity dormitory.
