Another group of 20 teenagers were arrested on Sunday night at Maralal town in Samburu county after they were found drinking alcohol.
The teenagers were found drinking at a rental house in Maralal.
The teenagers were arrested during a swoop led by Maralal Chief Celina Lemakara and Nyumba Kumi Officials.
The chief stated that traders have shifted from selling alcohol in bars to rental houses at night.
“Bars, wines and spirits are supposed to be closed by 9 PM, we have rentals here. Traders have shifted from bars and brought alcohol to rentals. I have arrested many people some are school going children,” said Lemakara.
“I am appealing to parents and fellow chiefs and all security agents to continue conducting the raids to the point that this town will be streamlined,” she stated.
The Maralal arrests come just a day after 44 teenagers were arrested at a sex party in Mountain View Estate in Nairobi County.
The 44 teenagers who were taken to Kabete Police Station are currently undergoing counselling.
