Another Suspect Of Arror And Kimwarer Dams Scandal Arrested At The JKIA
Police have arrested another suspect named in the Arror/Kimwarer dams scandal.
Jackson Njau Kinyanjui was arrested last night at the Jommo Kenyatta International Airport upon his arrival from the USA.
The Directorate Of Criminal Investigations says that Kinyanjui was stopped by the immigration officers at the airport.
“Jackson Njau Kinyanjui a wanted suspect was last nigh arrested upon his arrival from USA, at the JKIA following orders issued by DCI HQRs on 22nd July 2019. The suspect, wanted for the offence of fraud regarding the Arror/Kimwarer dams scandal, was stopped by immigration,” tweeted the DCI.
“Upon interrogation he alleged that he had been cleared to travel on securing his passport from Milimani Law Courts after previous arrest,” further stated the DCI.
He remains in police custody as further investigations continue.
Eight people among them Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich are facing corruption charges over the multibillion-shilling Arror and Kimwarer dams projects in Elgeyo-Marakwet.
