Apparently Ousted MCA Habiba Has Been Sick, Lost A Baby

Nominated Senator Millicent Omanga has come to the defense of  nominated MCA Habiba Hussein who was lost her seat yesterday over absenteesim.

Omanga says that Habiba has been for a long time now suffering from complications that came as a result of her complicated pregnancy.

Besides the complicated pregnancy Omanga says that the MCA who was nominated on a Jubilee ticket also lost her baby just a few hours after she was born. The baby was apparently born with a blocked valve.

“Nothing is as devastating to any mother as the loss of child, and the death of Baby Shadia only aggravated the illness of Hon. Habiba,” explained Omanga.

“Ever since, Hon. Habiba has been admitted to hospital severally, the first time being barely four (3) months after delivery, when she underwent a surgery to remove her gallbladder and fibroids,” said Omanga.

The outspoken senator further condemned MCA Alvin Palapala for politicizing the pain and agony of Habiba.

“To attack a woman, for simply being woman, is not only unacceptable but almost Satanic,” stated Omanga.

Omanga did not spare Speaker Beatrice Elachi either whom she described as a classic example of women being the worst enemies of their fellow women, further asking her to apologise to the Kenyan women.

Habiba Hussein lost her seat yesterday for not attending assembly sessions and committee sittings for two years.

Speaker  Beatrice Elachi received the report from Powers and Privileges Committees that investigated her before declaring her seat vacant.
