At Least 48 Lives Lost Since Start Of Rainy Season

At least 48 lives has been lost since the start of this rainy season.

According to government spokes person Cyrus Oguna, government is working with humanitarians to distribute food and alternative shelter to the flooding areas.

Oguna said that 25 counties were affected while eight counties which are Wajir, Mandera, Isiolo, Tana River and Trans Nzoia are adversely affected forcing the government to distribute foods with a helicopter.

Oguna also added that, 65, 000 house-holds were destroyed while 17,550 livestock died. He said that sectors affected were Education, health, Agriculture and infrastructure.

Oguna addressed Marsabit attacks and said that there is a team sent to mentain peace while there is an ongoing meeting in Nairobi to find a permanent solution.
