The county government of Nakuru yesterday honored singer Avril Nyambura for her participation in the music industry.
Avril who hails from Nakuru took to social media to narrate how she was invited to the county offices by the governor for the recognition award. She was awarded a certificate of recognition for her contribution in the music industry.
The 31 year old singer shared the news with fans and it was not long before congratulatory messages started filling up her social media accounts.
Kaka empire CEO King Kaka was the first to share his congratulations saying how happy he was for the win.
Avril was accompanied by her mother and they later met with top county executives to discuss how to mentor the youth in the region.
“Today marked a day that really made me feel extremely humbled. I was invited to the Office of the Governor Nakuru County to receive a Certificate of Recognition for my participation in the music industry by the County that brought me up . I was granted audience with the Dep. County Governor Korir and Min. Of Trade, industrialization, Marketing and Tourism’s Dr. Ketyenya. We had a lovely chat .. can’t wait to share more soon.
