Azimio’s Ken Ng’ondi Elected Speaker Of Nairobi County Assembly
Former Kware Ward MCA Kennedy Okeyo Ng’ondi has been elected the fourth speaker of Nairobi County Assembly. Ken garnered 68 votes out of 123 votes cast.
Ken was Azimio la Umoja candidate under ODM party.
Hassan Mohammed Robow who was fronted by Kenya Kwanza Coalition garnered 55 votes out of 123 valid votes.
“He deserves the win Ken has been very loyal to the party and I must say that it was timely and wish him the very best as he begin this honourable journey,” Makina ward MCA Rose Masitza said.
“First I want to thank our party for giving us a strong candidate the journey has been easy but we thank God we made it. It’s a clear a win to Azimio Coalition and Baba at large in Nairobi … Ng’ondi will now steer us in this journey and we have a lot to be addressed us members,” Imwatok said.
“He was not our candidate but we wish him well let him be a speaker to all,” Jeremiah Themendu MCA Kayole Central said.
“Azimio MCA have done well and this is a big win for us having lost Nairobi governor position…we hope that Ken will now ensure that he facilitate our activities so that we can deliver to the great people of Nairobi,” Maurice Onyango Mt View MCA said.
