Glaring Similarities

Despite the two songs having a five year gap in terms of their released dates, they bear glaring similarities from the chorus, video concept with two artists on each side.

“Bebe” was the first to be released barely five years ago with “Abebo” being dropped a year ago.

“Bebe’s” storyline delves around a love story that has culminated into a wedding.

The video kicks off with a wedding preparation with the bride and the groom side gearing up for the day. The video models are dressed to kill with the palatial meetup giving a kingly aura.

The song is cool and laid back however, the chorus hits a crescendo with a high tempo characterized by high pitched instrumentation.

It’s also at the chorus that one gets to figure out the two song’s glaring similarities.

“Bebe” has since amassed a whooping 157M views on You Tube and still counting.

On the other hand, Abebo by Bahati and Indah was also kicks off with a wedding setup as Bahati and Indah set out for an African wedding.

The magnificent mansion also matches the Congolese singer’s set.

It also features video models in trendy outfits offering a glimpse of opulence not forgetting the fuel guzzlers on display.

Their singing is also smooth but hits the climax at the chorus with “Abebo” sang in repetition. It’s also here that one gets to notice the two song’s glaring similarities.

Barely released a year ago, Abebo has amassed 10M views on You Tube and still counting.
