Two Bata Shoe PLC employees were today arraigned before Nairobi court charged with stealing at the depot.
According to the prosecution, Moses Ngugi Muchwe and his accomplice Francis Mwangi Wairimu stole 16 711 pairs of Bata shoes that cumulatively worth over ksh 15 Million
The duo are said to committed the offence between 12th July 2021 and 11th December 2021 at Bata shoes depot in Riverside area within Nairobi County.

The prosecution urged the duty court magistrate Esther Kimilu to impose stringent bond terms on the accused arguing that the two are facing similar charges in a Bungoma court involving over Ksh 12 million.
In line with prosecution’s application for stringent bond terms, the magistrate directed each of the accused be released on personal bond 5 million
