Bayern Munich are confident of agreeing a package deal worth around £90million that would tempt Tottenham England Forward Harry Kane.
The deal would shatter Bayern’s previous club record, the £68m they paid for Lucas Hernandez in 2019.
But it will be partly funded by the £34m sale of former Liverpool Forward Sadio Mane to Al Nassr.
Bayern have a lucrative, five-year package on the table which would make Kane the highest earner at the club. The 30-year-old England captain is also understood to have an option for a further year.
Kane, who has just 12 months left on his Spurs contract, is understood to want his future resolved before the start of the new Premier League season.
With that in mind, Bayern club executives Jan-Christian Dreesen and Marco Neppe jetted into London at the start of this week for talks with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.
Tuchel has been determined to make Kane his spearhead after seeing Bayern scrape to their fortuitous title win last season.
