United States ambassador to Kenya Kylie McCarter now wants the government to take seriously the health precautions against COVID-19 disease before making a decision on the re-opening of schools.
In an exclusive interview with Ghetto Radio News McCarter says the whole world has been affected by the COVID-19 effects and any pertinent decision like allowing children back to schools should be scrutinized.
He further asked the Kenyan government to invest much in technology in schools saying that they can help children much learn digitally and without much effects.
‘‘I leave that tough decision to the government but what I can tell you is that we must ensure the safety our health comes first and the government must also invest much in technology so that it can help our children learn under these kinds of circumstances.’’ He said.
He revealed that US government has donated more than a hundred thousand masks to support fight Covid 19 in the country among other forms of support.
