Kenya Rugby Coach Benjamin Ayimba is in critical condition in Hospital after contracting Cerebral Malaria.
The former Kenya Sevens Coach ailment has kept him away from the public eye since the start of 2021, according to the family.
He is currently in HDU at a Nairobi Hospital. It has also been reported by a close family member that Ayimba fell ill three weeks ago and cannot recognize anyone or utter a word.
The family said that they owe the hospital Ksh 2.2 million before he can be moved to Kenyatta National Hospital for specialized treatment.
Ayimba is a former international player for the country’s national team and has represented the Country several times on the International stage.
Apart from playing for the National team, he was in charge as a coach for the Sevens team and in 2009 he led the country to IRB Sevens victory in Singapore in 2016.
According to our source the family is calling out for well wishers to come together and help them settle the Hospital Bill.
