Pastor Odero to Attend Crusade

Notably controversial church leader Pastor Ezekiel Odero of New Life Prayer Center has promised to attend the event, encouraging his church members to show respect to ministers of God.

He also granted permission for his church members to participate in the crusade.

“My son asked me if I am going to Nyayo Stadium, and I said yes, and he asked, and what about mum? I said we are going together. We will do our service on Saturday; when it gets to the evening, we run to the airport, take a flight and by 6:30 pm, we are in the stadium. Because the crusade starts in the evening. The next day, we are at a service. There is something called sacrifice. We must pay for it going and coming back.” Odero told his congregants.

Benny Hinn Speaks

Meanwhile Addressing concerns about funding, the steering committee of the crusade clarified that no public funds have been utilized for the preparation of this nationwide prayer gathering.

“This event has been organized, funded, and coordinated by the Churches of Kenya, which include both mainstream churches and evangelical churches, to connect the Body of Christ in Kenya with the Global Body of Christ,” Harrison Nganga Chairman of the Organizing Committee Archbishop said.

Pastor Benny Hinn had earlier mentioned that he was invited to hold the crusade by First Lady Rachel Ruto, suggesting it would be a government-sponsored event.

“Something amazing happened just four weeks ago. The First Lady of Kenya flew from Nairobi with her team just for one reason…to ask me to come back to Nairobi,” Hinn said this as seen in a video that circulated online five months ago.

“For a government-sponsored crusade. We haven’t had that in a long time where the first lady of a nation comes and says we want to hold a crusade sponsored and supported by the government. The only time we had that was in Indonesia,”
