Betting Youths Oppose 50% Tax On Betting Companies

Section of youths are now calling on the government to review the 50% tax that was imposed on betting companies in the 2017/2018 budget fearing that the companies may shut down leaving them with no source of income.

Led by World Youth Parliament president Omulo Junior, the youth argue that they can now put food on table, through betting and an increase of tax will interfere with the business.

Omulo further termed the 50% tax as mockery to the betting industry  since nobody can be happy with sharing his/her earning equally in-form of tax.

The Kenyan government has been at loggerheads with betting companies accusing them of  investing their profits outside the country.
