Blogger Robert Alai has denied that he is the one quoted on a series of screenshots doing rounds on Twitter.
In the screenshots, a number saved as Alai is being questioned over one of his recent tweets claiming that the late Jonathan Moi died from H.I.V.
He then explains that it is part of a strategy to attack former Prime minister Raila Odinga and Gideon Moi because they are William Ruto’s biggest threats in the 2022 presidential bid.
The conversation indicates that Alai was hired by Ruto’s team and at one point Alai explains that the tweet was part of his terms of reference.
“You hired me as a blogger to help H.E Ruto 2022 ambition and you know very well Raila and Gideon are our only real threat.” Read one of the messages.
Alai has since refuted the message terming it as propaganda.
“Let me help the pigs spread their propaganda since it’s supposed to go further but it’s not getting proper attention. Fools can massage their egos with such fakery.” Alai tweeted
The whole story started after the blogger allegedly claimed former president Moi’s son Jonathan died from H.I.V.
