They say your past is never really forgotten on social media, a lesson Ethic Entertainment seems to have learnt the hard way.
The crew made up of four members, Swat, Rekles, Zilla, and Seska recently tweeted about their new jam set to drop asking fans to dare them for the release.
However their tweet got the attention of blogger Pogghie Ndonga who poked fan asking if the beat belongs to them.
“Mnadai Ngoma? Semeni ngwé” wrote Ethic
To which Ndonga replied with “Bora beat ni yenu…”
The group however affirmed that they own the beats to their latest jam.
A few weeks ago, Ethic’s club banger ‘Figa’ was deleted from Youtube after fans realized the beats were lifted from a Dutch song.
According to online detectives the beats to the song were ripped off a song titled ‘Cono’, sang by Dutch rapper Jhorrmountain in collaboration with Puri and Adje released on December 9th 2017.
Ethic’s ‘Figa’ was pulled off Youtube at a time when it had enjoyed over a million views.
