The Anti-corruption court has today granted Nairobi governor Mike Sonko Ksh.15million cash bail and 30 million bond.
While giving the ruling, Chief magistrate Douglas Ogoti however barred Sonko from accessing his office.
“The first accused is therefore barred from accessing his office and he is only allowed to go and pick his belongings in the presence of the investigating officer handling this case” Ogoti said
This means he Sonko will not transact any County business until the the case is concluded by the court.
Meanwhile tension is still high outside Milimani Law courts with flying squad officers waiting for another arrest where he is also required to answer to assault charges.
Ogoti further warned parties including the DPP, EACC the accused persons from commenting in the social media over the matter.
The case will be mentioned on 15th January 2020.
