The National Police Service has now recalled Nairobi County Head of Inspectorate and security boss Tito Kilonzi has been heading the post since Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko took over office.
Kilonzi’s influence in Sonko power nerves has been inevitable and this could be a major blow to the governor.
Mr. Joseph Kipsang who is Acting Inspectorate Director now takes over temporarily as county considers requesting another name from National Police Service.

When we asked Governor Sonko’s press Director Elkana Jacob about Tito’s departure he was reluctant on the same.
‘‘Am not aware what next but what we know is that Tito was seconded by national government.’’ Elkana said.
Kilonzi has been stern on implementing governor Sonko’s rules and regulations, some of which did not go well with a section of Members of the County Assembly. At some point they threatened to impeach him.
Before joining county government Kilonzi was regional commander Western Kenya.
