Boda boda Safety Association of Kenya has today held a consultative meeting with the Nairobi County inspectorate on the operation of the boda bodas in the central busines district.
The association chairman Kevin Mubadi says they will sentise their members to adhere to county regulations on CBD to avoid endless arrests and animosity between county askaris and boda boda operators.
Among the new regulations is that every operator, will have an ID from a registered association,riding licence and a reflector.
Meanwhile the association has warned that they will not protect unregistered riders who take advantage of the situation to operate and violate the rules.
This week a lone 250 boda bodas have been arrested in the Nairobi CBD and charged in City Hall court.
