Dancehall icon Bounty Killer has touted blind artist, Nigy Boy as one of the newest faces taking over the dancehall scene following the success of his hit song, Continent released on the Dutty Money Riddim.

Barely five days from its release, the song went viral not only for its feel good vibe but also due to the fact that the artist is blind and super gifted.

The song made it to No. 1 in Jamaica on You Tube, Spotify among other charts. It also got to No. 2 on the Reggae iTunes Chart, second to Bob Marley’s best-selling single, Three Little Birds.

Biggest Dancehall Riddims “Dirty Money Riddim”

Dutty Money Riddim is a repeated version of dancehall producer, Tarik ‘Rvssian’ Johnston’s Go Go Riddim released in the mid 2000s.

Today, it’s regarded as one of the biggest dancehall riddims.

Dancehall fans across the globe have since opined that Nigy Boy holds the mantle for best track on the riddim thanks to his mellow-voice singing.

Taking to his Instagram, Bounty Killer was among many who praised Nigy Boy’s artistry for being clean and decent.

He further noted that Nigy’s music will live in years to come while also applauding producer, Rvssian for coming up with a riddim that has given birth to a surprise superstar in Nigy Boy.

“All those graphic gothic songs of vulgarity none made it among those great timeless classics straight to the top the blind man has deepest vision mi and Russian nuh friend but awesome job for highlighting one of the hidden gem @nigyboyagain” wrote Bounty with a screenshot of the Reggae Chart showing ‘Continent’ at No. 2.

Bounty Killer remains one of the greatest dancehall star’s with a career spanning over three decades.

He’s also credited with bringing into the limelight the likes of Mavado, Vybz Kartel and Busy Signal among others.
