Reggae star, Buju Banton has revealed how his BMW inspired the hit song, Driver A.
According to the Champion hit maker, he was cruising a white BMW to the studio when it suddenly skidded.
Not only did Buju Banton steer it back to smooth running but he also felt inspired.
And so by the time he got to the studio, he was completely charged.

No Involvement Of Drugs
Buju further clarified on the rumors peddled that the song delved on pushing drugs.
Most of his fans believed he pushed drugs and his jail term was equally related.
The Grammy Award winner added that as musicians their aim is to sing ideas resonating with the masses.

“We as musicians, We always sing things that people can identify with, So people were even able to identify with that song because hustling is their life” he explained.
Buju Banton further disclosed his favorite lines from the song as, “A barrel gun mi boss and yuh know it cyaan stick” He added.
Made For Greatness Album
Buju Banton is set to drop his 13th studio album dubbed ‘Made For Greatness’ in September 8, 2023.
The 17 track album features 3 notable names namely Snoop Dogg, Stephen Marley and Victoria Monet.
The rest of tracks are individual efforts thus depicting Buju as a hard worker.
Some of the songs include Ageless time, Life Choices, Born For Greatness and Let my people go among others.
Born for greatness is Buju’s follow up album to his 2020 album, Upside down.
Upside down clinched the 2nd position on the Billboard Reggae Chart in the US.
It had a star studded appearances from Pharrell Williams, Stefflon Don and John Legend.
His single titled ‘Unity’ from the said album, got him on the FIFA 21 soundtrack.
